Robert Parker (94)

The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Feusselottes from Domaine Mugneret-Gibourg is a stunning young wine, wafting from the glass with a nose of raspberry, cherry, anise and creamy new oak that is still almost inscrutably youthful. On the palate, the wine is deep and full-bodied, more tensile and chalky than the Chaignots, with bright acidity and an irresistible purity to its fruit. The finish is long and penetrating. This will really need time in bottle to reveal its true quality, but it will be awfully hard to resist temptation.

Vinous (92)

Bright, dark red. Subtly complex aromas of raspberry, blueberry, spices, minerals and soil. Silky, seamless and concentrated, with its atypical richness leavened by harmonious balancing acidity and a musky saline element. This terrific Feusselottes shows outstanding sappy energy and a long finish featuring suave tannins, a note of red licorice and excellent rising length. This should age slowly and gracefully. (I tasted two different 375-milliliter bottles of the very deeply colored and highly concentrated 2016 Echézeaux but both of my samples finished tannic and dry owing to slightly off corks.)

Burghound (92)

Elegant and ultra-pure black cherry, spice and rose petal aromas serve as a refined introduction to the forward, supple and detailed middle weight flavors that are impressively precise and this too evidences more than a trace of finishing minerality on the lacy and persistent backend that is very tightly wound and youthfully compact. This is a stylish but serious wine, indeed I would go so far as to describe it as an unusually powerful Feusselottes.
