Fresh berry and citrus notes on the nose, together with leafy aromas. Medium-bodied with a linear start to the palate, followed by a medium build of grainy tannin. A lighter structure this year, but there’s some good focus and drive.
Garnet red, with amber reflections. Exuberant notes of red fruits and spices on the nose with a tarry finish. In the mouth it is full, robust, very supple and silky, with gentle tension and well-integrated tannins.
Lively with a vibrant sensory intensity this Cannubi shows the typical juicy notes of a Nebbiolo grown on hills which have good exposure to the sun. Burnt citrus, withered white flowers, almonds, cocoa powder and orange describe the primary profile. Full bodied, soft tannins of remarkable quality a compelling finale which with grace and notable profondity closes silky and decidedly modern. Incredible work here.
