Lastly, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Dark Ark is another perfect wine from this estate that delivers everything you could want from a wine. Beautiful aromatics of red and black currants, graphite, darker chocolate, smoked tobacco, and God knows what else all emerge from the glass, and this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a layered, ultra-fine mouthfeel, perfect tannins (this could be a masterclass in tannins), and just this multi-dimensional, complex, hard to describe style that sets it apart. This magical Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon can be drunk any time over the coming 20-30 years.

A barrel selection of denser and more powerful wines from the Hundred Acre Ark vineyard. Heady and stimulating aromatics of creamy black fruit, liquorice, wet-slate minerals, ironstone, and tobacco. The wine boasts beautiful definition, and the flavours and aromas shine in spectrums of red, black, and blue colours, framing super-fine, smooth and polished tannins. Time in the glass reveals even more heady mineral nuances, exotic perfumed notes, and a dazzling array of sweet herbs and spices.
