The 2010 Meursault Perrieres is the most sublime, refined of the Meursault premier crus. It melds elements of precise minerality and expressive fruit to match its understated, soft personality. In a sense, it brings together the best of the Genevrieres and Charmes. Hints of white flowers and mint add lift on the finish, but this is another wine that is heading straight for a period of dormancy.
Very rich, magnificent and splendid. As eloquent an argument for Perrières' elevation to grand cru status as you could find. Concentrated yet both dry and rich. Some tension even though it is already expressive. Bravo! (JR)
A fine pale lemon and lime colour. This is more the incisive stony side of Perrières than the opulence. A little menthol touch as well. Very harmonious in the mouth, and now the weight of fruit expected starts to emerge with an attractive citrus tension at the finish. Fine length in this wine which is still building. If there is any botrytis here it is very subdued. This vintage contains grapes from “La Ginette”, the plot in Aux Perrières, for the first time, albeit in a very small proportion.
