The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge offers pretty red brambly, raspberry and cranberry fruit on the nose. There's fine transparency, and it's less rustic than the preceding vintage. The palate has crunchy red fruit on the entry, with a dab of sour cherry and a little attenuation on the finish. Perhaps the 2022 will have a bit more cohesion? We'll see.
