Lastly, I was able to taste the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Cuvée Laurence from foudre as well. This is one of those wines that's just about overflowing with Provençal character and offers huge aromatics of red and black fruits, pepper, spice, Provençal garrigue, leather, and assorted meaty, gamey nuances. With full-bodied richness, a concentrated, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and a great finish, it's going to be ready to go right out of the gate. I'd be happy with bottles in the cellar.
