Coche's 2022 Bourgogne Aligoté is very attractive, offering up notes of pear, vanilla pod and waxy citrus rind, followed by a medium-bodied, satiny and suave palate with a fleshy core of fruit and a saline finish. This attractively textural bottling sees the same élevage in barrel as the domaine's other whites.
The 2022 Bourgogne Aligoté has a clean and precise bouquet that's quite strict at first but opens gradually with time. The palate is fresh on the entry and a little peppery in style with ample weight on the finish. This is very refined.
An exuberantly fresh nose speaks of citrus-inflected Granny Smith apple aromas that are complemented by dense and beautifully textured middle weight flavors that are supported by bright and firm acidity on the bitter lemon-inflected finale. Fine quality for what this is in an age worthy package.
