This is pure pleasure, a hedonistic St.-Emilion fruit bomb with oodles of black cherry and black currant fruit as well as hints of sandalwood and underbrush. It is opulent, unctuous and loaded with fruit, glycerin and most of the earthly pleasures one associates with wine. This full-bodied La Fleur may well be the best wine they have ever produced.
Wow. So much intensity of fruit here, with crushed blackberries, blueberries and sandalwood. Like looking down a black hole. Full-bodied, with ultra-velvety tannins and a long, long finish. Chewy, but caressing and gorgeous. Best ever from here. Great value!
Very fragrant and well integrated nose. Sweet yet fresh. A zappy modern take on St-Émilion. Though there is still quite a bit of oak to integrate.
