Brumont
Vignobles Alain Brumont, situated in Madiran in the South-West of France, has been credited with transforming the region’s reputation, especially with his flagship estates Château Montus and Château Bouscassé. Brumont was innovative in using the tannat grape and new oak ageing, and his wines are described by Robert Parker as “purely made, remarkably rich, and so complete”. The estate is now a 300 ha operation spanning multiple appellations and styles, with attention to terroir and vineyard sourcing.
