Coming from the top of the slope where there’s more clay, which is best suited for Chardonnay, the 2022 Chardonnay The Coast pours a youthful yellow hue and boasts notes of ripe pineapple, fresh honeysuckle, honeyed citrus, beeswax, and delicate baking spice. Full-bodied, it fills the palate with a luxurious feel but stays light on its feet and comes into focus on the finish with a light chalky texture and a clean finish. It is going to drink well over the next 8-10 years.
