An earthier nose combines notes of poached plum, dark currant and a violet hint. The succulent, round and decidedly suave medium-bodied flavors possess a highly seductive mid-palate that contrasts somewhat with the dusty, sappy and slightly austere finale that is noticeably warm.
A rich purple colour though still with a pink tinge. The fruit is noticeably riper, very opulent ripe red cherries, but not cooked. Powerful on the palate, just a little dry at the end. No whole bunches were used. Fresh enough finish.
