The superlative 1997 Barbaresco Bricco Asili-Bricco Asili boasts a dark garnet color with amber at the edge as well as smoke, vanillin, leather, cherry liqueur, licorice, dried herb, and subtle oak aromas and flavors.

Don't touch this for ages. Blockbuster. Incredibly concentrated, like Port. Big, powerful and chewy. Raisin juice. Full-bodied, with masses of tannins and a long finish. A bit more finesse would make it classic quality.
