The balance and beauty to this wine are so impressive. Berry, cherry and blackberry aromas follow through to medium body, fresh acidity and fine tannins. I love this Barbaresco from the ex-winemaker from Gaja. Gorgeous. It's all about harmony. Drink now.

Rivella's 2015 Barbaresco Fausoni offers terrific depth and nuance, but in the understated style that is typical of the 2015s here. Sweet tobacco, dried cherry, anise, mint, orange peel and exotic spice all fill out in this very pretty and expressive Barbaresco. The Fausoni is the most expressive of the 2015s in this lineup. The typically firm Fausoni tannins need time to soften a bit, but the 2015 will likely always be somewhat edgy, as Barbarescos from this site tend to be.
