Directly from the domaine, this rare and very sought after 1998.
The 1998 Jurançon "L98-C03" has a green wax capsule. It was a classic year for Jurançon and sports a honeyed bouquet with Seville orange marmalade, quince, wet wool and light Mirabelle notes, perhaps not quite as well defined as the 1993 by comparison, yet still pure and disarmingly attractive. The palate is well balanced and treads a fine line between that slight oxidative style and its inherent richness. There is harmony and composure here, more precision towards the waxy-textured and quite persistent finish. Superb. Alcohol is 15.4%. Tasted at the Joliette vertical in London.
