Decanter: Produced with grapes from six suppliers that span the villages of Pernand, Ladoix, and Aloxe, and parcels that go from the bottom of the slope to the top. Although a bit closed initially, the aromas open up with mineral and white flower notes on the palate. This is a classic wine, with substantial extract balanced by impressive freshness, giving a very clean impression. A dense and muscular wine, where oak spice and buttery, creamy aromas do not distract from the beautifully transparent essence.
Seven suppliers from across the appellation. Pale colour, beautifully floral, more in the direction of elegance up front, then flesh and oak through the middle, white fruit, pears, then the more mineral finish that we expect here. A warm and sunny version that has retained its roots.
Jancis Robinson: Different from historic supplier; seven different sources.
Extra weight and volume on the nose and palate; very flattering, sapid and saline finish. Breadth and grand cru depth. Approachable but wait.
