Caroline Parent is a winemaker who produces wines from family vineyards located in both Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuits. Her winemaking style emphasizes the typical Burgundy elegance and finesse and fully expresses the terroir.
Caroline is the daughter of two renowned winemaking families, the Gros family in Côte de Nuits (known for producing Grand Crus such as Echezeaux and Richebourg) and the Parent family of Côte de Beaune.
Domaine Caroline Parent mainly produces red wines, from Burgundy 'village' wines and premier crus like Pommard and Nuits St Georges Argillieres to Grand Crus like Clos de Vougeot. She also produces a Cremant.
The butterfly on Caroline's wine label originates from a small notebook collection of thoughts and poems that Caroline's grandmother, Madame Janine Gros of Domaine Jean Gros, passed down to her. The notebook was engraved with a butterfly by Caroline's great grandmother Yvonne and has now been incorporated into Caroline's wine labels as a symbol of her family's winemaking legacy.
