The 2020 Riesling Graacher Domprobst Kabinett (White Capsule) is very clear, pure and saline on the nose that shows ripe and just-ripe white stone fruit and crisp slate aromas. On the palate, this is a crystalline, refined and salty Domprobst with a crisp and salivating, oh-so-slatey and stimulating finish that could liven up a dull party. This is a picture-book Kabinett or even Graacher Riesling that is impossible to leave without love. 10.5% stated alcohol. No charming boy, of course, but an exciting one. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022.

I love the effusive cassis and citrus-zest character of this well-structured, light dry riesling as much as its focused and racy palate or the long, crystalline finish. Drink or hold.
