Complex aromas and flavors of candied oranges, baking spices and ripe red berries pull you into this rich, stony yet silky Ahr pinot that does more than nod in the direction of Burgundy. Long, beautifully structured finish. Drink or hold.
A demanding yet beautifully refined wine of remarkable finesse and presence. Driven more by fresh herbs—sage and bay leaf—than fruit (sour cherry, pomegranate), it displays a stony, austere minerality. Taut, precise and structured, with racy acidity and finely grained tannins. The finish is long and concentrated, with excellent ageing potential.
Almond, raspberry, coconut and toasted new wood. Supple initially, good volume, then a rich dose of fine-grained tannins provides balance. A ripe acidity that gains grip on the palate. Well integrated alcohol, with a good tactile minerality.
