Ripe dark berries, chocolate, sweet spices, charred bark, walnuts and hints of tar on the nose. Full and intense with depth and persistence to the fruit and firm, slightly chewy tannins. Lingering and earthy finish

Deep, lustrous crimson. Brooding, intense and with savoury-sweet oak notes. Lush, deep and full, with finely chiselled tannins. Well-balanced whole and something for a cold winter evening. Not ready by far, though. (WS)

Falstaff (96)

Rich ruby red with a garnet rim. Intense and complex nose, with notes of ripe blackberries and Amarena cherries, a touch of violets, dark chocolate and malt, ethereal. On the palate, powerful, well integrated tannins, multi-layered, with a very long finish.
