Enormously complex aromas are married to vibrant slatey acidity on the extremely concentrated, medium-bodied palate. Almost overwhelming slatey and salty minerality in the totally brilliant finish. Great smoky complexity. Limited production. Drinkable now, but best from 2027.

The 2024 Riesling Neumagener Rosengärtchen v.d.T., where the abbreviation stands for von den Terrassen, is from a terraced site planted in the late 1960s. Shyness on the nose only allows lemon and slate aromas to escape. Svelteness, stoniness, slenderness and poise are the first impressions of this exquisitely poised wine. Citric intensity rages quietly on the palate with palpable energy. The 2024 is full of drive, precision and stone. It is remarkable. (Bone-dry)
