The 2024 Kiedrich Gräfenberg Riesling Auslese is intense, complex and super generous on the nose that delivers candied pineapple aromas and even foie gras notes—or is it just my imagination? Rich and round but elegant on the palate, this is a generous, complex, saline and balanced Gräfenberg Auslese whose bottle will be emptied too soon. 9% stated alcohol. Natural cork.

The 2024 Riesling Kiedricher Gräfenberg Grosses Gewächs is aromatic from the off, with lemon balm, juicy lemon and greengage aromas, followed by a touch of creaminess and bright allure. The palate is absolutely vivid, taut and tense, with the most gorgeous citrusy juiciness that delves into a note of Reine Claude plum. This is a picture of purity, clarity and Riesling raciness with a lovely, thrilling streak of lime on the finish. (Bone-dry)

Tension and electricity erupt from the glass, this soaring GG bottling from the Kiedrich Gräfenberg, Weil’s famed Grosse Lage slope. Lemon bee balm, verbena and white pepper show the light and airy intensity in this wine's aromas. Taut, with linear precision that dials up the salty tones of oyster shells, lime pith and smoky grilled lemon wedge. Divine.
Mosel Fine Wines (92)
The 2024 Kiedrich Gräfenberg Riesling Trocken GG, as it is referred to on the consumer label, delivers a beautifully elegant and refined nose of almond cream, bergamot, greengage, lime tree, thyme, mint, and may tree, with just a touch of apricot in the background. The wine coats the palate with ample juicy and fruity elements but also shows a great sense of freshness as there is quite some acidity running through. The finish is very spicy and still tart and compact at this early stage. It will need a couple of years to integrate all these elements and fully shine. It clearly has some upside potential if it gains in finesse.
