Winespectator (92)

Lively, with a mix of damson plum and bitter cherry notes lined with sanguine and iron hints. An understated style, but this has range and is sneaky long, with dried savory and bay leaf details on the finish.

Vinous (94)

Saturated ruby. Cherry-cola, blackberry, candied flowers and a hint of olive on the spice- and smoke-tinged nose. Fleshy and broad in the mouth, offering bitter cherry, dark berry and fruitcake flavors that become livelier and sweeter as the wine opens up. Shows fine detail and resonating florality on a very long, smooth finish that's shaped by discreet, well-knit tannins.

Jeb Dunnuck (92)

he 2017 Côte Rôtie Brune Et Blonde is terrific and certainly an outstanding wine. Offering plenty of red and black fruits as well as notes of licorice, flowers, and spice, it has supple, seamless tannins, medium to full-bodied richness, and a great finish.

Wine Enthusiast (93)

Deep garnet colored, this expression of Côte-Rotie leads with an intense nose of entwined red fruits, crushed roses and violets. Fresh blackberries, charcuterie, dried herbs and oak spice linger on the finish. Beautiful and complex, but the wine can easily be cellared for the long haul.
