The 1969 Rivesaltes has a more slender bouquet than the 1971 or 1972, not quite delivering the same degree of complexity and nuance. The palate is tangy on the entry and probably better than the aromatics. There’s a nice edginess here, with notes of orange rind and marmalade. Quite elegant and persistent towards the finish, this is another delicious Rivesaltes that just gives so much pleasure.
