César Márquez has released the “Sufreiral 2024” wine from his own vineyards in Bierzo, located in the northwest of the autonomous community of Castile and León. Since Bierzo is situated where Atlantic winds meet the inland highlands, harvests in this region are subject to greater fluctuations than one might expect. Cultivated from old Mencía vines on one of the few plots with limestone-based soils in Bierzo, giving it a chalky mineralty.
