The 2024 growing season in Alto Adige was marked by cool and rainy weather that persisted until summer conditions stabilized, which proved to be a challenge for winemakers and forced them to postpone the harvest until the grapes could be carefully selected. Cantina Terlano’s “Pinot Noir 2024” was made from grapes that ripened late on the sandy loamy soils with high quartz content of the middle Adige River valley and were harvested while retaining their pronounced acidity. Compared to the 2022 and 2023 vintages, which were characterized by warm weather, this Pinot Noir is expected to be lighter and more transparent. It is a wine with aromas of red berries, a delicate flavor, and an ambiance reminiscent of the Alps.
