Chambertin Clos de Beze
Chambertin-Clos-de-Beze is a distinguished Grand Cru vineyard spanning 15 hectares. It is situated in northern Burgundy in the commune of Gevrey-Chambertin. It is part of a prestigious Grand Cru vineyard cluster on the Cote d'Or, sharing its high-quality terroir with neighbours such as Chambertin and Mazis-Chambertin. The soil of the vineyard is a combination of clay and pebbly free-draining limestone, which guarantees small concentrated grapes and low vigor. Its southeast-facing slope optimises sunshine allowing the Pinot Noir grape to reach full ripeness while keeping critical acidity in Burgundy's mild environment.

In 1937 Chambertin-Clos-de-Beze was designated as an Appellation d'Origine Controlee (AOC). It is renowned for creating some of the Cote de Nuits subregion's best-balanced red wines. Although some of this vineyard's wines can be simply referred to as "Chambertin," the majority of producers maintain their own identity. Here, renowned domaines like Armand Rousseau produce wines that showcase the terroir's extraordinary character. Chambertin-Clos-de-Beze’s reputation ensures its place among the world's finest Pinot Noir vineyards.
