The 2012 Brut Rosé Belle Epoque is showing very well and must rank as one of the finest recent releases of this Chardonnay-based prestige cuvée from Perrier-Jouët. Offering up a pretty bouquet of white peach, spring flowers, strawberry, freshly baked bread and warm biscuits, it's medium to full-bodied, elegant and seamless, its delicately fleshy core underpinned by lively acids and complemented by a beautifully refined mousse.
Smoky notes of toasted brioche play off of minerally accents of oyster shell and wet chalk on the nose and palate of this rich rosé Champagne. Meshed with a spine of lively acidity and a juicy profile of nectarine, raspberry and Mandarin orange fruit flavors, this is long and creamy on the well-spiced finish. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier.

This has complex notes of praline, beeswax, raspberries, oyster shells, grapefruit and apricot tarts. Elegant and thoughtfully integrated, with very fine and silky bubbles alongside intense yet delicate layers. Long and saline at the end.
45% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir, 5% Pinot Meunier with Chardonnay from Cramant, Avize and Le Mesnil; Pinot Noir from Aÿ, Mailly, Verzy and Rilly; Pinot Meunier from Dizy. Fermented in tank with malo before blending, which included 11% still Pinot Noir, before bottling under crown cap. After six years ageing on the lees it was disgorged in April 2019 with a dosage of 8 g/l. In the famous transparent bottle with the art nouveau flower embossed on it – though it comes swathed in light-resistant gold paper.
Yes another very pale salmon-pink wine. Has the provençal mode swept through Champagne? Nicely integrated fruit and an overall impression of gentle softness. Very charming even if not amazingly persistent. The only fault of this wine is its price. But that bottle would sweep anyone off their feet… More developed and much more floral (autosuggestion?) than the Bollinger, Grande Année 2012. A gentle caress of a champagne. (JR)
This is an iconic rosé, clean and pure with its light color and textured, structured fruits. It has plenty of the perfumed character and the mineral acidity to balance hints of fresh-baked bread and spice.
