Domaines Albert Bichot is a renowned winegrowing and négociant company that owns 107 hectares of vineyards across multiple appellations. The domaine follows sustainable principles and Chief Oenologist Christophe Chavel has implemented organic farming practices.
The wines are known for their smooth structure, perfect balance, and fruity flavors. The range of wines under their own label is impressive, as well as those made from purchased grapes under the Albert Bichot label. The top wines of the domaine include Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru, Chambolle-Musigny Premier Cru Les Amoureuses, and Grand Cru Clos de la Roche.
Bernard Bichot founded the company in Beaune in 1831 and is currently managed by Alberic Bichot. The business is now based around a series of domaines, including Long-Depaquit in Chablis, Clos Frantin for the Côte de Nuits, du Pavillon for the Côte de Beaune, and Domaine d’Adélie for Mercurey. Wines with any of these denominations will come from their own vineyards, while wines labeled Albert Bichot will be made from purchased grapes.
