Robert Parker (96)

The 2022 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru Les Demoiselles (Domaine des Héritiers Jadot) is, as usual, one of the high points of the range, unfurling in the glass with aromas of pear, crisp stone fruit, white flowers, toasted bread, iodine and subtle reduction. Full-bodied, satiny and seamless, it's suave and charming, with a layered, vibrant core of fruit and a long, lively finish.

Jancis Robinson (17)

Cask sample. Ripe and round on the nose. Pure and fresh with some saline quality. Much more crystalline than the Bâtard. Appetising and quite a treat. (JR)

Vinous (97)

The 2022 Chevalier-Montrachet Demoiselles Grand Cru has an almost terse bouquet telling you to "go away" at first. It coheres in the glass, gaining intensity with crushed rock filtering through the Mirabelle and orange pith scents, just a touch of wild mint in the background. The palate is very well-balanced with a keen line of acidity. Yes, there is some oak to be assimilated here, but there is wonderful definition towards the finish with a real peacock's tail of intensity. Sophisticated, but it will need time to fully integrate the wood.

Burghound (93)

Prominent petrol nuances are present on the ripe and vaguely exotic aromas that include notes of just sliced citrus, Granny Smith apple, white flowers and subtle wood influence. The caressing, palate staining and sappy broad-shouldered yet beautifully refined flavors brim with both dry extract and minerality on the powerful, serious and built-to-age finale where a touch of bitter zest adds a refreshing touch. While this should easily reward a decade plus of keeping, it's not so backward that it couldn't be approached after only 5 to 7 years of cellaring.

Jasper Morris (97)

A fine mid lemon yellow. The bouquet is extremely stylish, showing a Chevalier with depth of flavour. There is lots more to tease out. Really impressive concentration here, just a few toasty notes, an extra body that comes from this emplacement. Just the right mineral acidity behind. Drink from 2032-2040.
