Domaine Henri Boillot
Located in Mersault in France on the border of Volnay and Puligny-Montrachet, Domaine Henri Boillot is the living example of how to successfully combine two distinctive characters of wine.
The site of Domaine Henri Boillot was strategically chosen to combine the best of these two wine districts: the elegant Volnay red wine and the fruity white wines from Puligny-Montrachet. The vineyard contains 14 hectares of land with approximately 50% of Chardonnay and 50% of Pinot Noir plants. By using different grapes cultivated under different climatic circumstances, two distinctive types of wines are produced, each having their own character and story to tell.
The estate was established in 1885 by Jean Boillot. When the land was purchased by Herni Boillot, the third generation in this family line, he decided to rename the estate to his own name. Today, the domaine in still under the leading guidance of Henri Boillot (the white wines specialist) and his son Guillaume Boillot (leading the red wines department). Two craftsmen with their own specialty and their own passion!
