Textured and with a purity alongside cassis, blueberry, eucalyptus and a graphite, mineral, saline streak to finish. This is a classic Coonawarra vintage from the region's most historic producer. Rich aromas of blackberry and currant jam, menthol, tobacco and florals lead to a powerful palate laced with chiseled, powdery tannins and lifted acidity. It's hefty, but it's also balanced, the corners neatly tucked in. Old school Aussie Cab with a long life ahead.
