This Peated variant of the MacNair's Jamaica rum started its journey in the same way as the Unpeated rum. On the second maturation, when the rum was reduced to 69% ABV, it went into casks that previously peated GlenAllachie whiskey to add a distinctive twist. Billy then skilfully blended the rum to create an expression in which the subtle peat smoke and charred cedar notes blend perfectly with the Caribbean notes and ester-driven rum.
This bottling uses barrels previously used for maturing red wine, rye whiskey and peated ex-Bourbon, in addition to new oak barrels.
