This was much more impressive than the bottle I describe here when tasted in February 2021. Really nicely balanced and satisfyingly complex. The extended family were quite happy with this 'Italian answer to champagne'. (JR)

Brilliant, intense and elegant light gold. Aromas of orange blossom, blood orange, a hint of raspberry, then quince, and dried pear, accompanied by dark minerality and elegant ripe notes. It spreads beautifully over the palate, balanced and fine, elegant over the course, with a fruit textured core. It is gentle, has a tightly beaded mousse, and is very long on the finish.

Aromas of yellow apple and bread crust follow through to the creamy palate along with citrus drop and a sprinkle of white pepper. An elegant perlage provides the silky backdrop.
