Peter Rabbit furtively gathered up rocket, mint and green pepper from Mr McGregor’s vegetable patch and scurried over the windswept hillside. He hopped past stone walls covered in moss before flopping at the tiny door of his friend, Mrs Tiggy-winkle. The industrious little washerwoman was busy and her kitchen was filled with mint ice cream, Germolene, lint and hot, starched ironing. A fire smouldered in the grate drying bunches of Lily of the Valley, marjoram and sage. The couple nibbled fresh coconut, peppermint creams and a thimbleful of Earl Grey tea laced with absinth. A curious tale of tails indeed!
