The 2024 growing season in Gredos was challenging. Although yields were low, the quality was very good, a combination that typically produces concentrated white wines in this central region of Spain. In most parts of Spain, 2024 saw more rainfall and less extreme heat than in the previous couple of years, causing the harvest to occur later than growers were accustomed to.
As a result, the wine is not one with an explosive fruitiness, but rather a white wine with a solid structure and a touch of tension. To best appreciate its texture, serve it at around 10-12°C, chilled, but not ice-cold. It will be at its best for enjoyment through 2032.

The grapes for the 2024 El Hombre Bala Albillo Real were picked a little earlier (August 7th to 12th, not as early as in 2022 or 2019), trying to avoid opulence. They also did a little more reductive élevage, and the wine aged in barrels and foudres with lees. It has a clean nose with notes of hay and straw and some white fruit, and the oak is very integrated, developing notes of pollen and dry yellow flowers with time in the glass. It has a moderate 13% alcohol and a round mouthfeel with some chalkiness, and it's balanced and tasty. 5,200 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2025.
