Front-loaded with all the weird and wonderful flavours that Musar is known for: earth, leather, medicine, plenty of acetone. The palate has bright red fruit, but the dominant flavours are decidedly non-fruity, and there is a lightness here that leaves the palate a little hollow. Not one of the greatest Musars, yet still tells a memorable story. (RH)
Exceptional concentration, structure and balance mark this 11-year old blend of Cab, Cinsault and Carignan that's ripe with cassis and plums and a plume of smoke, earth and barnyard funk. Tannins subdued into a powdery softness, it's elegantly textured yet full and forward with a rich, layered complexity.
