More black-fruited than the 2020, the 2019 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes delivers notes of black cherries, dried spices and some chocolaty overtones. Full-bodied, round and velvety in feel, it finishes with decent length and ample concentration.
Tasted blind. Shy nose. Nice mouthfeel and creamy-textured tannins – chewy dark fruit with dark chocolate and warming alcohol. A hedonistic ripe style.
