The 2024 Riesling Niersteiner trocken was picked in Ölberg and Orbel. Crushed tansy, a flicker of smokiness, a hint of grapefruit spice and the merest touch of red apple peel appear on the nose. This has fill and all the flavor of red Permian stone. It tingles with herb and tangerine notes, making the mouth water with a beautiful stoniness. Yet all is slender, straight, wonderfully bracing and bright. What a lovely tonic. (Bone-dry)
