The 1952 Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial has a special label commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Bodega. Like the 1978, it spent a remarkably long time in barrel and bottle before its release in 1986. It shows a slightly aged appearance accompanied by a beautiful, slightly roasted bouquet (likely from the extended oak aging), remarkable intensity of fruit, and impeccable balance.
