The 1967 Rivesaltes has a lively marmalade and slightly petrolly bouquet that nods towards German Riesling, albeit in an oxidative style. The palate is viscous on the entry, tangy and spicy. White pepper and cloves emerge towards a finish that lingers in the mouth. The 1967 may not have the length of other vintages, but it is quite delicious and would work well as an apéritif.
