This chateau, which is often under the radar (production is only 5,500-6,000 cases), has fashioned a terrific, inky/blue/purple-hued 2005 with a beautiful bouquet of spring flowers, creme de cassis, pain grille, and blueberries. Powerful and concentrated with full-bodied richness, stunning purity, and a tannic, 40+-second finish, this beauty requires patience.
Offers loads of toasty oak and very ripe fruit, with hints of coffee and tobacco. Dark, full-bodied, rich and round, with beautifully textured tannins. Very long and caressing.
Rene Gabriel rates this wine 18/20 points.
