East-facing site at 250 m. Brief pre-ferment cold maceration. 15–18 months in barrel, 30% new. Cask sample.
Mid to deep purplish crimson. Darker and more savoury/spicy than the village Vosne but still with generous ripe fruit, and very slightly floral. Inviting. Succulent and smooth on the palate, with that generosity of fruit making it so easy to taste even now. Rounded yet fresh, persistent. Very accomplished. (JH)
Fine primrose colour with lots of energy too on the nose, very promising. Not quite so much drive on the palate but there is still plenty of plum and ripe lemon rind, and then a refreshing acidity to finish.
