Cask sample. Deep-mid ruby. Fresh, minty red and black cherries. Layered with darker rich fruits beneath. Hugely concentrated but showing lovely lightness and delicacy. Vibrant, raffish acidity and beautifully elegant structure and tannins. I am tasting this much better than I did the 2020. A pleasure to taste today. Succulent – grand vin! (MH)
This possesses the spiciest nose in the range with its array of sandalwood, anise, clove, jasmine tea and cool black cherry and hoisin scents. The succulent, round and very generously proportioned big-bodied flavors that display focused power and muscle on the mineral-driven, palate soaking and superbly long finish. This youthfully austere effort is markedly compact, and I would strongly suggest not even thinking of opening a bottle before its 10th anniversary. Terrifi
A full crimson purple, a fine robe if not excessively deep. The bouquet is not yet ready to speak, brilliantly nuanced on the palate, with an appropriate density. You have to wait for each individual flavour to come out, alpine strawberry, sweet red cherry, then the finest and most distinguished of raspberries. All you could want and still really light on its feet. But just two barrels
