A new cew cuvée. Two terroirs from the north of the village and two from the south. Pascal Mugneret explained that he used to blend all the Vosne plots into one cuvée after vinifying them separately. For this vintage they have tried separating them into two cuvées – this one and Aux Vigneux. Low SO2 addition. 50% whole bunch. Tank sample.
Seductive, tangy sweet-and-sour cherry nose. Ripe yet fresh. Firm, chewy, thick tannins cut through by the juicy, ripe fruit. Chewy finish and lots of honest fruit. Needs time and/or food. Explosive style. The tank has made this (temporarily) more tannic, Mugneret explained. (JH)
