There is still traces of residual post-bottling sulfur on the ripe and ever-so-vaguely exotic aromas of essence of pear, apple compote and citrus confit. The round and plump yet almost painfully intense middle weight flavors are almost aggressively mineral-driven while the evident power seems to build on the long if mildly rustic finale. In the context of what is typical for this wine, it should be approachable earlier than usual.
Just bottled and showing its pre-bottling sulphur adjustment. Palish colour. Bananas and a few pear drops on the nose. Quite powerful beneath, this will need time to wake up. Good deep fruit weight, a stonier finish. Fair length.
