Mild reduction knocks down the nose and renders it difficult to properly assess. The ripe yet cool, detailed and intensely mineral-driven flavors possess plenty of tannin-buffering dry extract that imparts a sappy texture to the impeccably well-balanced and explosive finish. The Clos des Ch?nes is excellent but there is simply another dimension of depth present here.
