Nose:
A pleasant surprise and very intense. A slightly oriental mix of sandalwood, rose pepper and cumin, alongside some juicy sherry influence. The sherry isn’t very clear at first. But after a minute or two of air some yummy Cranberries, fig syrup and raisins. Some dried apricots and honey. Not a totally classic but a very entertaining nose.
Mouth:
A very sweet palate, in a delightful way. It starts in a caramel like almost syrupy way (brown sugar and preserved cherries) and then turns towards Christmas cake and gingerbread and some sweet liquorice candy. Lots of Dutch liquorice and plenty of spices again: mainly pepper and some aniseed.
Finish:
A quite medium long finish that shifts towards the typical sherry notes, cardamom and again laurel liquorice. And than the finish really kicks in; It brings us fruity notes like starfruit and pitaya.
