Robert Parker (96)

Drouhin's 2022 Musigny Grand Cru is a beauty, wafting from the glass with scents of ripe cherries and raspberries mingled with blood orange, peonies and baking spices. Full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, it's layered and vibrant, with beautifully refined tannins and a long, mineral finish.

Jancis Robinson (18)

Cask sample. Picked 28 August and 5 September because Philippe Drouhin, in charge of vineyards, has replanted a small section. This was the first year to have grapes from the young vines but their produce didn’t go into this wine. Cask sample.
Deep crimson. Savoury and subtle and so long. Less rich than the Clos de Bèze. Tingles and muscular. Dry finish but so obviously special and immensely superior. Long. (JR)

Vinous (98)

The 2022 Musigny Grand Cru underwent two pickings, August 27 for the declassified younger vines, and September 5. It has a well-defined bouquet with touches of undergrowth infusing the brambly red fruit, graphite and tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh, and vibrant with svelte tannins, fine acidity, and an elegant finish. This very refined Musigny will improve with bottle age.

Burghound (97)

An exuberantly floral if decidedly restrained nose is composed by notes of plum and black raspberry coulis along with an impressive array of spice and exotic jasmine tea wisps. Here too the larger-bodied, graceful and intense flavors possess an absolutely stunning mouthfeel that is enhanced by both evident minerality and the sleek but dense tannins shaping the palate soaking, hugely long and wonderfully persistent finish. Pure class.
