Pungent aromas of wood and reduction dominate the fruit at present. There is slightly better volume to the medium-bodied flavors that possess better richness before terminating in a youthfully austere and sneaky long finale that is noticeably firmer. At least a few years of patience should almost certainly be beneficial.
Frost, hail and mildew mean just 7 barrels from a theoretical production of 22. The nose is less forthcoming than the Bourgogne Rouge though the fruit is clean on the palate, redcurrant, no great depth, a light touch of oak. No great persistence.
