Domaine A-F. Gros is a domaine run by Anne-Françoise Gros and her husband François Parent. It produces mainly red wines from the pinot noir grape at all levels (including premier and grands crus).
The domaine is situated in Pommard, but they also own vineyards in Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny, Beaune and Savigny-les-Beaune. The estate is one of three domaines formed in 1988, when Jean Gros and his wife decided to divide their holding (Domaine Jean Gros) between their three children: Michel, Bernard and Anne-Françoise. Other domains in Burgundy that are run by the Gros family are Domaine Gros Frère et Soeur from their aunt Colette Gros (which is supervised by Bernard) and the famous domaine Anne Gros who is their cousin.
The various wines are made in Beaune since 1998 by François Parent using a short cold maceration. His share of his family estate (Domaine Parent) was also added to domaine A-F. Gros when they got married. François Parent makes wines under his own label as well, recognizable through a black truffle. The wines of Anne-Françoise Gros all show a beautiful female head on the label. The woman on the label symbolizes the terroir. The style of wine making is characterized by dark red fruits and reflection of the individual terroirs.
The most important vineyard holdings are: Richebourg Grand Cru (0.60 Ha), Echézeaux Grand Cru ( 0.28 Ha) and Vosne-Romanée “Aux Réas” (1.63 Ha).
